Stainless Steel T.I.G. Spiral Welded Tube

Product Description

Duraduct Spiral Welded Tube is accurately circular and Straight tubing manufactured by helically forming and automatically T.I.G. welding continuous strip of stainless steel.

This precise method of production and high quality of weld provides tube of exacting diameters in an almost infinitely variable range of sizes from 76 to 1528mm (standard production range being 76 to 356mm).

Tube can also be produced in Mild Steel, Duplex stainless, aluminium and higher grades of nickel alloy for extra heat and corrosion resistance.

Duraduct spiral T.I.G. welded tube is approximately 15% stronger than logitudinally and welded tube, allowing lighter wall thickness which in turn results in less weight and lower cost of Installation.

Duraduct Spiral T.I.G. Welded Tubing has proven itself environmentally successful when used in duct and fume extraction; furnace and burner flues; as a storm water downpipe in high rise applications; ventilation ducts; as condenser lines for air conditioning.

It is also suitable for class 1 Boiler code, where full radiograph of weld is required.

Nominal Diameter 76mm to 1528mm

Wall Thickness:   76 to 102mm dia:                   1.6 to 2.0mm

                          114 to 305mm dia.                  1.6 to 3.0mm

                          305 to 1528mm dia.                1.6 to 5.0mm

Finish: 2.B, pickled, passivated

Normally 6 metres, or longer on application.  We can supply other sizes and wall thickness to specification.

NOTES:

  For Annealed Austenetic Stainless Steel: (S=517MPa min.)

  For calculating safe working pressure divide by 5, 8 or 12.

  Mild Steel and Aluminium Burst Pressure given apon request.

  All associated fittings, including Bends, Reducers, Tees, Branches, Flanges, Rings,

  General Fabrication and spooling are manufactured in-house and priced on application.

Tube Fittings:

Range:                         25mm through, 350mm diameter, 1.6mm through, 3.0mm W.T.

Elbows:                       Smooth contour, normal centre line radius as per Specification Table.

Reducers:                    Concentric and Eccentric.  Normal length four times different in diameter

Tees:                           As specified.

Flanges:                       Stainless Steel plate flanges.  Stainless Steel angle face rings with hot dip galvanised mild steel backing flanges.
